Our 8th-grade squad battled their way to a strong 13–5 record and brought home both 1st- and 2nd-place finishes in their tournaments. Their grit, teamwork, and steady growth throughout the season were fun to watch.
The 7th-grade team put together an incredible undefeated season, finishing 18–0 and claiming 1st place in both tournaments. An amazing accomplishment that speaks to their hard work and commitment every single day.
We are proud of these athletes, their coaches, and the way they represented CMS on and off the court. The future is bright for Lady Reds basketball! 🏀💛

Mrs. Miller has been a part of Clinton High School for eight years, teaching Senior English, Young Adult Literature, and AP Language and Composition. She is passionate about helping students grow as writers and communicators, knowing those skills matter far beyond the classroom. Her impact has been recognized across the district and beyond, including being named CPS Teacher of the Year in 2020 and a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction through the National Society of High School Scholars. 📚
Beyond CHS, Mrs. Miller teaches ACT prep through SWOSU’s Upward Bound bridge program and serves as secretary for the Clinton Junior Service League, always finding ways to give back to the community she loves. When she is not teaching, you can find her traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends, especially her daughters, Bristol and Maddie.
One student shared, “Mrs. Miller has this beautiful way of teaching. I sometimes struggle focusing in classes, but when I walk into her class, I'm able to engage. Mrs. Miller always has a positive attitude and makes everyone feel seen. I enjoy being in her class, where I’m able to talk with other students and feel heard. I have been able to get out of my comfort zone and start interacting with other students I thought I would never talk to. She lets students state our opinions without making us feel that our opinion is wrong. Mrs. Miller is truly a wonderful teacher and person!”
Thank you, Mrs. Miller, for the heart, excellence, and encouragement you bring to our students every day. 🍎💛

Rhett Blundell is a Social Studies teacher and coach at Clinton Middle School and the new head wrestling coach at Clinton High School. Now in his 10th year of teaching and coaching in Clinton, he teaches 7th Grade Eastern Hemisphere Geography, 8th Grade American History, and co-ed weightlifting, while also coaching football, wrestling, and baseball. A graduate of Kingfisher High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Coach Blundell is passionate about helping students grow both in and out of the classroom. Outside of school, he enjoys strength and endurance training, reading, listening to the Keep Hammering Podcast, and spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their son, Lincoln. His advice to students is simple: focus on becoming the best version of yourself, and always treat others the way you want to be treated. 💛
From his students and athletes: Coach Blundell is truly a great leader, coach, and person. He has already been recognized as Teacher of the Year, but he continues to show us what a teacher and coach should be every single day. Many of us are grateful we had him in 7th and 8th grade, and we’re even more thankful to still have him as a coach in wrestling. He pushes us to do things we never thought we were capable of, and because of his support, we’ve achieved goals like winning medals and gaining confidence. He is extremely encouraging, never gives up on anyone, and always believes in us. Even with his busy schedule, he stepped up to lead high school wrestling because he cares so much about his athletes. We are thankful for everything he does and the impact he has made on all of us.
Thank you, Coach Blundell. Clinton is proud to have you leading, mentoring, and #BuildingChampions every day. 🏆🤼♂️📚
