Clinton High School is celebrating some incredible academic achievements! 🎉

On April 23, Brittain Mosburg and Allan Beauchamp were recognized at the American Chemical Society Oklahoma Section Meeting for their performance on the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad state exam. These two standout students are officially ranked among the top 5 chemistry students in the entire state of Oklahoma! 🧪

Earlier this spring, all CHS chemistry students competed in the local Olympiad exam, where Brittain and Allan earned the top two scores. They advanced to the state competition at Oklahoma State University on April 17, tackling two written exams and a challenging lab practical.

They were presented with certificates by Dr. Lloyd Bumm, Awards Chair for the Oklahoma Section of ACS, and even had the opportunity to meet keynote speaker Sharina Perry, founder and inventor of Utopia Plastix.

We are still awaiting final results, but being named in the top 5 is already an outstanding accomplishment. Congratulations to Brittain and Allan for representing Clinton High School at such a high level. 👊💥

CHS students hit the road today for an exciting visit to the University of Oklahoma in Norman! ❤️🤍 From touring the campus to getting a feel for college life, our students spent the day discovering new possibilities and imagining what their futures could look like. OU offered a powerful glimpse into the opportunities that await after graduation. Hooked on learning. 🎣 Our CMS and CHS Outdoor Education students recently spent the day fishing through the Oklahoma Fishing in the Schools program, turning the classroom into a real-world experience. From casting lines to building patience and problem-solving skills, this is learning you can’t always capture inside four walls. Outdoor Education has been offered at CPS for the past four years, giving students a hands-on, innovative elective that’s truly one of a kind in our area. CHS Current Events students took learning outside the classroom with an incredible field trip to Martin Nature Park! During a guided hike, students explored how conservation efforts are shaping Oklahoma’s future, especially as cities in Oklahoma continue to grow. They learned how the park protects local wildlife, supports aquatic ecosystems, and works to keep natural spaces thriving right here in our community. From understanding how animals are cared for, to discovering ways to help protect the environment at home, this experience connected real-world issues to what these kids have been studying in class every day. And yes… they even got to meet a few “nature friends” up close! 🐍🐢 Big thanks to the Martin Nature Park staff for such an engaging and eye-opening experience!

Opaa!'s fun-loving traveler made a stop at Clinton Public Schools, and he showed up at the perfect time… Build-Your-Own Burger Bar day! 🍔

Students got to pile their plates high with fresh, made-from-scratch hamburgers, choosing all their favorite toppings and creating a meal that was uniquely theirs. From the first bite to the last, there were plenty of smiles to go around. 😋

Congratulations to Cristhian Aguilar (Clinton), Lyssa Day (Clinton), and Levi Fields (Sentinel) for earning 3rd place in Comic Book Design at the TSA State Conference! 🥉

Their project advanced to the Top 10 finalists, which meant stepping into an interview round to present their work—and they delivered. After submitting their design and competing through semifinals, they were officially recognized on Thursday with a podium finish.

Last week at CHS, our students had a powerful opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow.

As part of the Journey of Hope across all 77 Oklahoma counties, CHS freshmen explored the story of April 19, 1995, honoring the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing and the lives forever impacted.

Building on that meaningful foundation, students also took part in Better Conversations, an engaging program designed to bring people together through respectful dialogue. Through this experience, students practiced listening, sharing perspectives, and navigating challenging topics using grounding virtues like patience, humility, and adventurous civility.

Moments like these help shape not just informed students, but thoughtful leaders ready to make a difference. 💚
