The gifted and talented referral window is open now through November 17, 2026. Parents, teachers, and other individuals involved in a student's life may refer a student for testing. Students who are already receiving GT services do not need to be referred again.
At CPS, we provide a variety of opportunities to challenge, encourage, and develop our gifted learners:
Grades PK–6: Qualifying students participate in pull-out classes with GT teachers Mrs. Stephens and Mrs. Gaunt. Lessons focus on hands-on, project-based learning in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM), along with leadership development.
Grades 7–12: Opportunities include visual and performing arts, AP, Honors, and concurrent classes, as well as leadership experiences through student organizations and clubs.
These are just a few ways we work to help our gifted students grow, explore their interests, and reach their potential.
To request a GT testing referral form, contact Nancy Murray at 580-323-1290, ext. 8017, or email nancy.murray@clintonokschools.org.

Math is adding up to some fun for Mrs. M’s 5th Grade Math Club!
The 2026-2027 Math Club kicked off its first project with a favorite snack and a trip to Split Decision, where students measured a pool table to the nearest inch. Back in the classroom, they used those measurements to create a scaled drawing of the table.
Getting into Math Club takes some quick thinking! Students qualified by passing Mrs. Miner's Twister Time, 100-question tests covering multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction facts, all completed in just five minutes.
Next up? Students will plot points for the cue ball and target ball, then use the angles of incidence and reflection to design their own pool shots. Math skills meet real-world problem-solving!
